Nursing Faculty Recruiter Description

  

The Nursing Faculty Recruiter is responsible for attracting, recruiting, and hiring qualified nursing faculty to fill open positions. This role involves developing and implementing recruitment strategies, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and will work closely with Academic leadership to ensure a qualified applicant pool. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Recruitment Strategies:
    • Create and execute plans to identify and attract potential faculty, including targeted outreach to nursing schools, professional organizations, and other relevant networks. 
  • Source and Screen Applicants:
    • Utilize various methods to find qualified candidates, review resumes, and other materials to assess qualifications and experience. 
  • Conduct Interviews:
    • Perform interviews to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Manage the Hiring Process:
    • Coordinate with hiring managers, facilitate reference verifications, negotiate job offers.
  • Building Relationships:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build a pipeline of potential       candidates. 
  • Staying Informed:
    • Keep up to date on best practices, the latest trends in nursing education.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Track recruitment metrics, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and report on KPI. 
  • Complex Cognitive Activities: 
    • Advanced verbal and written communication often in stressful situations involving students or co-workers 
    • Fast-paced work environment requiring quick adaptation skills in a changing strategic and tactical workplace
Requirements

Education

  •  A bachelor's degree in human resources, nursing, or a related field. 

Licensure

  • Active and unencumbered RN license

Experience

  • Required: A solid understanding of the nursing profession, including educational requirements, licensing, and career paths.
  • Preferred: Prior higher education/healthcare recruitment experience. 
  • Preferred: Familiarity with recruiting tools: ATS, Indeed, Glassdoor
