Job description

NABA is currently seeking motivated individuals for the role of:

Head of Education Roma

The successful candidate will join our team in Rome and will report hierarchically to the School Director. The Head of Education will manage the programs portfolio of the school while guaranteeing quality and continuity to the standards of excellence required. He/she will assure quality in the academic processes and students’ experience.

The selected candidate will carry out the following activities:

  • Manage faculty, planning, and in-class experience.
  • Implement and assure the portfolio of programs offered by the School, ensuring the update of course syllabi and content in line with NABA’s requirements and the formal requirements of ministerial bodies.
  • Guarantee an excellent level of teaching to maximize student satisfaction and the required quality indicators.
  • Develop academic strategies in close collaboration with the Dean and the School Director.
  • Coordinate course leaders and collaborate with the Office of Academic Coordination and the School Director to minimize academic costs and optimize classroom occupancy.
  • Select the best faculty in collaboration with the Institution and ensure that faculty performance consistently meets required standards.
  • Act in accordance with the criteria and principles of quality set by NABA’s Evaluation Committee.
  • Ensure the best in-class academic experience for students.
  • Inform the School Director and agree on necessary actions to maximize student satisfaction.
  • If applicable (if the candidate has an academic background) she/he might teach one course per semester, for two hours weekly maximum.
  • Collaborate with and support the enrollment team to achieve the assigned goals for the academic year.
  • Encourage course leaders to collaborate with the Career Services Office to expand NABA’s company network.
  • In collaboration with the School Director might represent the School, in institutional events and during the meetings and debates with Associate Universities.
  • Define inputs for the annual academics budget and monitor monthly actuals.
  • Inform the School Director about budget progression and support the Finance Manager in analyzing variances between actuals and budget, defining and implementing corrective and/or improvement measures.
  • Manage human resources under responsibility, support professional growth and skills development.
  • Plan and organize team activities and assign new projects.
  • Approve holiday plans and leave requests, and actively participate in staff recruitment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, the code of ethics, and internal procedures.
  • Actively support change management and innovation initiatives.
  • Ensure continuous updating and proper archiving of all documentation.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Education Management, Economics, Business Administration, Art and Design, or a related field. A Master’s or PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-9 years of relevant experience in a managerial position, with significant exposure to the education sector, preferably in a dynamic and international academic environment.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, academic administration, and managing faculty teams.
  • Strong knowledge of modern teaching methodologies, and experience in leveraging educational technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate educational policies, standards, and accreditation processes.
  • Innovative, hands-on, market- and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), assess and deploy talent efficiently, and manage work processes.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English is required.
