THIS POSITON IS REMOTE WITH SOME TRAVEL ACROSS YORKSHIRE.

Our company is a leading provider of engineering solutions for the energy industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 132KV Design Engineer to join our team and work on Distribution Network Operator (DNO) networks.

As a 132KV Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and managing the construction of high voltage electrical systems up to 132KV for DNO networks. This will include developing design specifications, managing contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and successful project completion.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage the design of high voltage electrical systems up to 132KV for DNO networks.
Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, and calculations in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure that project requirements are met and all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
Manage contractors and suppliers to ensure that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with other departments, including project management, procurement, and construction, to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards and regulations, and implement best practices to minimize risk and maximize project efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, and ensure that all work is carried out to the required technical standards.
Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders and management.
Continuously monitor and evaluate project performance, and identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Assist in the development of new business opportunities and proposals related to 132KV electrical design for DNO networks.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in 132KV electrical design for DNO networks.
Strong technical knowledge of high voltage electrical systems up to 132KV, including switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and control systems.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines governing DNO networks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
