Fueled by a world-class team of developers, Anchor Point Studios is passionate about creating immersive and engaging console and PC action games. We seek to push the boundaries of entertainment in extraordinary ways, developing experiences that are both memorable and timeless.

We’re hiring!

Anchor Point Studios is on the hunt for a creative and technically sharp Freelance UI/UX Designer for a 6 month engagement, to help shape intuitive, visually striking experiences in our unannounced action-adventure game. If you thrive on player-centered design and want to make an impact at a studio that values collaboration, ownership, and craft, this is your moment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the end-to-end UI/UX design pipeline for all main menus and key UI features (HUD, interacts, popup menus, etc.).
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and collaborate with game designers and engineers to prototype and implement smooth, responsive interfaces that elevate gameplay.
  • Once the UI/UX designs have been approved, create the final UI graphical art assets to bring the game interface to life!
  • Translate complex systems into clean, intuitive layouts and interactive elements that feel effortless to players.
  • Develop and maintain a UI style guide consistent with the game’s art direction and tone.
  • Stay plugged into the latest UX trends, platform guidelines, and player behavior insights.
  • Must have experience designing and implementing in Unreal Engine

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong understanding of good design process from concepting to delivering the final feature.
  • A strong understanding of Unreal Engine 5 and experience working in it.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing UI and UX work in games.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools.
  • Experience designing for console and/or PC.
  • Strong visual design chops with an eye for hierarchy, typography, iconography, and motion.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively and autonomously in a fast-paced dev environment.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with motion design or VFX in UI (e.g. After Effects or Spine).
  • Prior work on action or adventure titles.
  • Passion for games and understanding of game development pipelines.

Why Anchor Point Studios?
