Bilingual Administrative Coordinator – Disability Claims (Remote)

Work remotely in the insurance industry supporting disability claims administration. This full-time contract role involves handling confidential documentation, processing access requests, and ensuring data accuracy. Ideal for bilingual professionals with strong attention to detail and experience in administrative support.

What is in it for you:

• Hourly salary of $22-24, based on experience.
• 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.
• Flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST.

Responsibilities:

• Review and process file access requests, ensuring accurate redaction of third-party information to uphold privacy standards.
• Verify authorization and consent documentation for each request.
• Support resolution and reporting of potential privacy breaches in coordination with leadership.
• Monitor and respond to group email inboxes efficiently.
• Set up disability claims and manage claim-related follow-ups.
• Generate client and control reports.
• Issue payments for vendor invoices.
• Enter data from claim forms into the payment system (Navigator).
• Prepare and distribute correspondence to claimants, clients, and stakeholders in compliance with privacy protocols.
• Track and retrieve offsite files.
• Handle various media files as needed.
• Support onboarding processes for new clients and employees, including IT equipment coordination.
• Provide IT support for existing employees when required.

What you will need to succeed:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of administrative experience.
• Strong PC proficiency, including Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and planning skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage high workload volumes and competing deadlines.
• Quick learner with analytical thinking and a proactive approach.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.
• Tactful and diplomatic when handling sensitive information.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Background in disability services or familiarity with medical terminology (asset).
• Bilingual in English and French is essential for this role to effectively communicate with claimants, clients, and stakeholders across Canada and to ensure accurate handling of documentation in both official languages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
