Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Consultant Manager to provide personnel administrative services and support the organisation’s Human Resources policies and programmes. This role is responsible for assisting with HRrelated queries, managing payroll processes, and maintaining accurate employee records. This is a fulltime, remote position, with a preference for candidates based in Cape Town as dealing with CCMA and HR issues will require you to come into office when required.

The ideal candidate will serve as a key link between management and employees, ensuring the effective implementation of HR initiatives, and contributing to a positive and compliant working environment.


Responsibilities:
To administer and maintain monthly Payroll information by processing employees pay and leave entitlements and editing of employee master information as well as loading of new employees to the HR Focus system.
To perform HR Administration by creating all offer letters and contracts for the company and to assist with the skills development department with the drafting of job profiles.
To provide employee and management support by assisting with HR enquiries from employees and corresponding with the companys Head Office HR Department on behalf of employees and assisting Management with HR enquiries and issues.
To maintain HR Data and records and maintaining training attendance register data and records.
To manage labour disputes by arranging meetings and hearings with the labour lawyers and consulting with the labour lawyers regarding issues and giving feedback to management on the correct procedures to be followed.
To assist with injury on duty forms to be completed and to be sent through for submission to the Compensation Commissioner.
To load all training per staff member onto HR Focus and assisting with the Training Skills Reporting.
To assist with the reception area when needed for when the receptionist goes on lunch or leave.

Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Specific degree qualification: Payroll Administration Services (Desirable); Human Resources (Essential)
  • Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in Administration, Secretarial, Reception, Payroll and Human Resources
  • Knowledge of customer staff orientation
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of customer service, and communications
  • Knowledge of the basic human resource legislation
  • Knowledge of presenting human resource information in a variety of ways
  • Experience in writing reports
  • Knowledge of human resource application software
  • Knowledge of working with spreadsheets
  • Persuasive and articulate verbal skills

  • Written and verbal communication skills
