Based in Amsterdam, XITE now reaches 100 million households across North America and Europe through linear (FAST) networks, interactive TV apps and ondemand streaming services. The company revolutionized the way audiences experience music videos by allowing viewers to search, like and skip through its entire catalogue, enjoy playlists curated by its team of music experts and create their own playlist based on a genre, decade, style or mood using its unique Mixer feature. XITE has a full music video catalogue through agreements with all major and top independent music labels and distributors, and works to expand this offering every day.

About the role and the team

We are looking for a Head of Product Design. In this role you will be responsible for leading the team of designers and oversee the design process for all products developed by XITE. You will work closely together with our development and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Product Design Team (2 FTE).

• Guide design projects from concept to execution, including providing strategic guidance on product development.

• Oversee the quality of design deliverables, ensuring high standards and attention to detail.

• Maintaining consistency in design and user experience across all platforms and channels.

• Collaborate with internal teams on ideas and projects and pitches for existing and new clients.

• Lead XITE’s user research activities

• Stay informed about design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to drive continuous innovation in our design approach.
  

• Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of (UX) design experience.

  • Experience with leading and developing a team.

  • Creative visual thinker with a keen eye for design, preferably with experience designing for TV screens.

  • Datadriven, have experience with AB testing, and an iterative design process.

  • Proactive, a strong communicator and motivated to develop yourself and continue to grow.

  • Able to collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders across the company.

  • Knowledge of Figma is mandatory in this role, experience with JIRA is highly appreciated.

  • For this position we have a strong preference for NLbased candidates as we want to see you regularly in our office.

    Our hiring process

    1. Apply: Apply for a role, and we will contact you.

    3. HR Interview (online): One of our recruiters will contact you for a first online interview. During this interview you can ask all your questions about the company.

    5. Interview with one of our MT members (online): In this interview you will have an interview with one of our MT members, who will also be your future manager. You will dive deeper into the role, your knowledge and experience.

    7. Interview with the team (office): During this interview you will meet the team that you will be working with.

    9. Final stakeholders interview (optional): During the last interview you will have an interview with a few stakeholders within the company that you will work close with in this role.

    11. Reference check: We ask you for 2 references that we can give a call and ask a few questions as a part of our hiring process.
