Job description

Account overview: Is a full service cloud communications, IT, network security, and internet connectivity provider with a strong focus on tailored solutions, white glove support, and industry compliance.

We are looking for a part-time contractor to fill the position of Field Network Support Specialist. The primary responsibility will be assisting in the deployment of cellular SIM cards to our clients across the United States.

We are seeking a proactive professional who possesses excellent communication skills and a result-driven attitude. The ideal candidate should consistently take the initiative, demonstrate resourcefulness, and excel in problem-solving. This role will be conducted remotely under the guidance of our Field Engineering Manager.

Employment status:
 Part-time (6-month engagement, with the potential for extension of another 3-6 months and possible transition to a regular role)
Work Schedule: Mostly graveyard, Monday to Thursday, 8 to 12 hours per week (minimum of 2hrs; maximum of 3hrs a day)

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure you have all relevant information before the installation begins.
Contact a client at the scheduled time
Closely follow the steps for replacing SIM cards
Complete the testing checklist
Complete the documentation

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Two years of networking experience is a must
A college diploma or equivalent is required
It is essential to have outstanding communication and customer service skills.
Strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills
Ability to work independently, as well as take instruction from team members
Understanding of cloud infrastructure and strategies
Knowledge of network routing and switching infrastructure technologies
Basic knowledge of Voice over IP technologies
Outstanding analytical ability with attention to detail
Excellent back-office skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook Visio, and Excel)
Exceptional analytical ability with attention to detail
Demonstrated leadership and a sense of project ownership
Experience with Linux and Asterisk is a significant advantage.
Open to hiring individuals who are currently employed provided you can commit to the required number of hours per week.
