About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Staff Analytics Engineer to lead the development of robust and scalable data models, reporting and analytics solutions. This role will be critical in transforming complex raw data into strategic insights that drive business decisions, focusing on flexible architectural design, best practices, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL, strong programming skills in Python, and extensive experience with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, dbt, and advanced BI platforms like ThoughtSpot. As a Staff Analytics Engineer, you will bridge the gap between data engineering, analytics, and business strategy, ensuring our data assets are not only wellstructured and accessible but also optimized for complex analytical needs and future growth.

This is a fully remote opportunity and can be worked from any location in Poland. Candidates must be based in Poland and be able to travel to the office in Kraków as needed.

Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and maintain advanced dbt models and complex data transformations to support enterprisewide analytics and reporting, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity
Design, build, and optimize highly performant SQLbased data models within Snowflake, establishing best practices for data warehousing and dimensional modeling across the organization
Lead the development and implementation of sophisticated ThoughtSpot dashboards and advanced selfservice analytics capabilities, enabling business users to derive deep insights from data
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other analytics engineers and data professionals, fostering a culture of excellence in data modeling and analytics engineering
Collaborate crossfunctionally with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to establish and enforce high standards for data quality, reliability, and documentation
Drive the adoption of selfservice analytics solutions, including advanced NLP capabilities in ThoughtSpot, by providing expert guidance and training to business stakeholders
Define, implement, and champion organizationwide best practices for analytics governance, data security, data lineage, and operational efficiency
Proactively engage with senior business stakeholders to deeply understand strategic reporting and analytical needs, translating them into innovative, scalable, and impactful data solutions
Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance our analytics infrastructure and capabilities
Lead initiatives to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and optimal performance across all reporting and analytics solutions, collaborating closely with QA and Data Governance teams

Qualifications
8+ years of progressive experience in data transformation, modeling, and analytics engineering, with a significant focus on complex SQL and data warehousing
Expertlevel proficiency with Python for advanced data manipulation, automation, and building analytical tools
Extensive experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses, including performance tuning and cost optimization
Demonstrated expertise with ThoughtSpot or other leading BI tools, with a proven track record of designing and implementing advanced selfservice analytics solutions
Deep understanding and practical experience with data warehousing concepts, advanced dimensional modeling, and performance optimization techniques for large datasets
Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills, with a strong strategic and businessoriented mindset capable of translating complex data into actionable business value
Proven ability to lead projects, mentor junior team members, and drive technical initiatives from conception to deployment
Preferred: Extensive handson experience with dbt for complex data transformation and modeling, including package development and orchestration
Preferred: Strong knowledge and practical application of data governance frameworks, data security best practices, and compliance regulations
Preferred: Expertise with version control (Git) and building robust CICD pipelines for analytics workflows
Preferred: Experience in stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and presenting complex analytical solutions to executivelevel audiences
Preferred: Familiarity with other components of the modern data stack (e.g., Fivetran, Airflow, Monte Carlo)
