As a Linux Systems Engineer, you will develop, integrate, and maintain inhouse and thirdparty solutions that promote a safe and spamfree hosting experience for our customers.

Requirements

    • Responsibilities:

      • In collaboration with the Product Owner and stakeholders, understand the needs of the customer to deliver innovative, robust website security and antispam solutions

      • Build and design tooling to support and evolve our Trust & Safety team, e.g. dashboards, scripts, and automation of customer service processes

      • Trend monitoring, analysis, and development of mitigation strategies for Spam and Website vulnerabilities

      • Develop and maintain:

        • antispam and antimalware technologies and strategies

        • website malware detection systems and signatures

        • monitoring strategy for website security issues and its supporting infrastructure


            • High level of Proficiency in the following:

              • Scripting languages

              • Opensource databases like MySQL, SQLite

              • Linux system administration

              • Software design and coding

              • Finding and dealing with malware attacks and abuserelated incidents

              • Trend monitoring and threat modeling


                • Qualifications and Experience

                  • 5+ years of Linux system administration experience, including a successful track record in a missioncritical environment

                  • Linux system engineering and administration focusing on Linux performance, scalability, and security

                  • Displays an understanding of the importance, virtualisation, and administration of highavailability systems


                    • Advantageous:

                      • Deployment and Maintenance of Web Application Security and Malware Mitigation systems.

                      • Debian Linux administration experience

                      • A degree or diploma in computer science and cyber security

                      • Experience with virtualization and cloud infrastructure

                      • Software development experience

                      • Experienced working within largescale operations

                      • Following security trends and keeping up to date with emerging threats

                      • Managementmaintenance of common web CMS systems like WordPress
