The Role

As a Technical Consultant specializing in environment and release management, you will be a key member of the Veeva Technical Services team. You will be working on our industryleading Vault Platform, which powers all Veeva applications across the Commercial and Dev Cloud spaces.

The role requires a technical mindset: you will take care not only of the release standards, but the release package creation, the version control system built around it, the data migration itself, and the troubleshooting. We use a dedicated “toolset base” that includes free source ones as well as massive inhouse built and continuously upgraded applications.

What Youll Do
Design and implement release strategies and configuration distribution models
Define and enforce standards for development, configuration deployment, and environment management
Build, test, and deploy configuration packages through automated CICD pipelines and version control systems
Responsible for managing and synchronizing multiple project workstreams, proactively identifying and mitigating risks arising from crossproject dependencies
Create and maintain Vault sandbox environments for production, QA, and development purposes
Serve as a subject matter expert to help establish environment management strategies for new customers
Analyze and propose optimal deployment solutions for new product features
Collaborate with the developer teams, and support their work
Contribute to internal projects by developing innovative tools to improve deployment quality, efficiency, and speed
Deliver knowledge transfers and provide adhoc training to customer teams

Requirements
Experience & Education:
2+ years of professional experience in software development, DevOps, or a similar technical role
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent practical experience
Proven experience in full lifecycle software implementation projects
Candidates must be eligible for employment in Europe
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities
Solid understanding of the following:
Relational databases
API principles and web services
Continuous Integration (CICD) pipelines
XML
Package automation and deployment
Qualities & Communication:
A passion for technology and a drive to solve complex challenges
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to support technical and nontechnical stakeholders

Nice to Have
Direct experience designing or working within a cloudnative architecture (AWS, Azure)
Familiarity with the endtoend software development lifecycle (SDLC) and its associated tools, such as Jenkins, Selenium, and GitHub
Practical programming and codereviewing skills, particularly with languages like Python, Java, or Shell scripting
Proven experience building or integrating with RESTful APIs
