Job Title: Senior Service Manager SharePoint Collaboration Services

Location: Germany (up to 80% remote work possible)

About the Project:

The PoD1 Collaboration unit within Shared Service Delivery (SSD) is responsible for delivering highperformance groupware, conferencing, and telephony solutions to enable digital collaboration across Bundeswehr departments. Project DokMBw is focused on migrating electronic document and record processing into the modern Groupware Bw platform, primarily based on SharePoint.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Service Manager, you will be accountable for the endtoend service management of SharePointbased solutions (DokMBw) according to ITIL principles. You will lead technical coordination, interface with clients and partners, and support ongoing improvements to the service landscape.

Key Tasks:

  • Full responsibility for ITILbased service operations and continuous improvement of SharePoint services (DokMBw)
  • Lead or support subprojects in the domain of Document and Content Management Systems (DCMS)
  • Coordinate and lead a crossfunctional, virtual service team (quality, SLAs, OLAs, productivity)
  • Drive service evolution, including solution design and transition processes
  • Ensure process consistency and role implementation across all lifecycle phases
  • Act as SPOC for associated services within internal and external stakeholder interfaces
  • Oversee governance, risk, and quality management aspects of the service
  • Manage operational budgets, financial and investment planning, and risk mitigation
  • Support tendering and proposal processes for procurement and vendor selection
  • Collaborate with the user representatives and the external partner (e.g., CGI)
    • Required Qualifications:

      • Fluent German (C1) and technical English (B1) CEFR standards
      • University degree in Business Administration or Computer Science (Bachelor or higher)
      • ITIL Service Management Certification (valid at submission)
      • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, GPMIPMA)
      • Strong experience with JIRA, MS SharePoint, MS Office Suite, MS Visio
      • Commercial awareness and financial planning capabilities
      • Basic understanding of Microsoft Server Networks and MS SQL
        • Professional Experience:

          • At least 4 years of experience in managing collaboration solutions
          • Minimum 3 years of technical experience with MS SharePoint
          • Minimum 2 years of experience managing virtual teams and vendors
          • Minimum 2 years in agile project methodologies (e.g., as Product Owner)
          • Minimum 2 years in specificationconcept creation for collaboration tools
            • Soft Skills:
