Position Overview – Sales Engineer
The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in driving pre-sales activities within an assigned territory or vertical. Partnering closely with Sales Directors and Managers, the SE is responsible for positioning Ceragon’s products, services, and solutions to meet customer needs and exceed sales targets.
This role requires a strong grasp of Ceragon’s technology portfolio, excellent technical skills, and the ability to develop customized solutions. Success in this role demands analytical thinking, commercial insight, and effective collaboration across departments, including Technical Operations and Project Management.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Sales Managers to deliver high-quality pre-sales support, including network design, quoting, account planning, customer meetings, and presentations.
• Understand and analyze customer requirements to develop and position tailored solutions.
• Design microwave networks and perform path calculations, solution system descriptions, and generate accurate quotes.
• Maintain strong knowledge of competitive offerings, technical trends, and product differentiators.
• Use Salesforce to manage opportunities and ensure timely, accurate updates and reporting.
• Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to internal teams to inform product development and strategy.
• Support Proposal Management in preparing responses to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, etc.
• Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to support complex opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to company goals around revenue growth, gross margin, and profitability.
Qualifications
• Previous experience with Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in a Technical Sales role.
Experience in Wireless Transport and Microwave network design required.
• Background in layer 2/3, technologies and IP/MPLS is a plus.
• Strong commercial acumen and organizational skills.
• Highly structured and process-oriented; capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and adjust strategies based on business needs.
• Effective time and resource management to meet deadlines and deliver results.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and collaborative, with high professional integrity.
