This course introduces the principles of nutrition and the role of nutrients in the human body. Students learn about the body’s nutritional needs, along with the nutritive value of foods and the factors influencing the body’s requirements throughout the life span. The relationship between nutrition and cultural, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic influences on nutritional health and disease is also included.

The employee is expected to perform all other duties as requested, directed, andor assigned. Adjunct faculty will be assigned up to 3 work units per academic quarter.

Our defined compensation structure is market competitive and is built to reward performance. Our Online PartTime (Adjunct) Instructor compensation is determined based on the workload (Work Unit) associated with the specific course assignment. Those selected for these roles can expect a reasonable estimate of the current pay to be $1,700.00 per fullterm Work Unit. We take a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including but not limited to: job and level hired into, location, skill set; experience and training; peer compensation and other business and organizational needs. This range is subject to change.
