Job description

Adjunct Faculty

Rasmussen University

Students will explore using positive behavior guidance practices in the early childhood setting, emphasizing culturally responsive supports, trauma sensitivity, and powerful interactions. Students will discuss how educators and adults can promote selfregulation and incorporate positive behavior practices into their everyday work with children’s socialemotional development.

Reporting Relationships:

Adjunct Faculty will report to an Academic Dean

Responsibilities:

Adjunct faculty members are primarily responsible for communicating with students and supervising Deans or other University staff related to teaching and learning. Faculty are expected to:

  • Communicate both verbally and in writing with students in regards to feedback on student performance on a consistent basis throughout the course and as required by the Faculty Expectations
  • Be available for students via phone, email and for individual appointments as needed for questions and academic assistance as determined and outlined in the Faculty Expectations
  • Respond to DeanUniversity staff in regards to performance, student issuesconcerns, or items needed for faculty fileaccreditation needs in a timely manner
  • Appropriate behavior, language, professional communication, demeanor and dress will be exhibited at all times
