Job description

As a Technical Sourcing & Product Expert at Tameson, you will play a key role in expanding and improving our product portfolio, with a strong focus on our own brands. In addition to sourcing products and suppliers, you will work closely with the product team to ensure that all product data is complete, accurate, and formatted according to Tamesons internal standards. Your work ensures that products are professionally and efficiently offered through our website to our customers wordwide.

With more than 150,000 products in stock, we ensure fast and reliable delivery to meet the demands of professional users. Our international team includes colleagues from over 12 different nationalities, working together across borders to provide excellent service and product expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and select suppliers, with a focus on strengthening our own brands

  • Coordinate and organize the testing of product samples (testing takes place at our Eindhoven office)

  • Process, structure, and optimize product data in line with Tameson’s internal standards

  • Take responsibility for packaging optimization and product labeling

  • Conduct supplier evaluations regarding compliance, product quality, and reliability

  • Ensure product compliance with EU and US regulations, particularly CE marking

  • Support CE selfcertification processes (e.g. Machinery Directive and Low Voltage Directive)

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager on product category selection

  • Coordinate logistics requirements with the Operations Manager

  • Ensure complete, accurate, and structured supplier and product information for seamless system integration

  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with suppliers

  • Ensure all necessary supplier documentation is collected and properly stored (e.g. NNN disclosure agreements, certifications, etc.)
