We’re hiring a Senior UX Designer! This role is ideal for an experienced UX professional excited by the challenge of incrementally transforming a complex, legacy UI into an intuitive and modern user experience for our global B2B SaaS analytics platform.
As a Senior UX Designer at Matomo, you’ll create usercentric designs that enhance usability, boost customer satisfaction, and reflect our core principles of privacy and transparency. Youll work asynchronously across multiple global time zones, partnering closely with product managers, developers, and customerfacing teams to ensure design decisions are grounded in user insights and business goals.

Roles and Responsibilities 🚀
Deliver worldclass product design that meets or exceeds industry benchmarks.
Create and refine seamless user journeys, experience maps, and wireframes informed by user research.
Own visual and interaction design from initial concept through final handoff to development.
Collaborate closely with local Product Manager and developers, and asynchronously with global product management and engineering teams.
Translate user research and insights into actionable design specifications.
Incrementally refresh and modernise a large legacy UI, balancing immediate improvements with a longterm vision.
Conduct UX research, usability testing, and incorporate findings into design decisions.
Engage in codesign practices, collaborating directly with users, product teams, and engineers to create practical solutions.
Create numerous smaller, iterative design specifications to support continuous improvements within the existing UI framework.
Minimum Qualifications 🤓
4+ years of UX design experience, ideally within a B2B SaaS or enterprise product environment.
Demonstrable experience autonomously leading endtoend design projects.
Proficiency in UXUI design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
Strong skills in creating wireframes, user flows, experience maps, and highfidelity designs.
Experience conducting and applying user research and usability testing insights.
Exceptional asynchronous communication skills for working effectively in global, remotefirst teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience specifically with analytics, digital marketing, or datacentric SaaS products.
Familiarity with the digital analytics industry and privacyfirst design principles (e.g., GDPR).
Prior success in incrementally redesigning largescale or legacy enterprise products.
Previous experience working fully remotely in global, distributed teams.
Experience with codesign processes, facilitating collaboration sessions with crossfunctional teams and users.
