Position Summary: Blue Sky Innovative Solutions is seeking a Business Continuity Specialist II to enhance the organization's resilience through the planning, coordination, and execution of business continuity strategies. This individual will lead Business Impact Analysis (BIA) efforts, assess operational risks and dependencies, and ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and facilitate BIA interviews with key stakeholders across departments.
Document and update Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) for business functions.
Conduct risk and dependency assessments to identify critical business operations.
Maintain and enhance continuity planning tools, procedures, and audit-ready documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams to build effective continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
Track compliance with continuity standards and assist with internal and external audits.
Develop reports and presentations on continuity readiness and gaps for leadership.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in business continuity, operations planning, or enterprise risk management
Knowledge of BCP/DR frameworks such as ISO 22301, FEMA guidelines, and NIST SP 800-34
Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
Certification in Business Continuity Planning (e.g., CBCP, MBCI, or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer) nice to have
