POSITION SUMMARY Blue Sky is seeking a PartTime SharePoint Designer to support the development, customization, and maintenance of SharePoint sites across various internal and clientfacing projects. This role is ideal for an experienced SharePoint user with a keen eye for design, usability, and user experience. Candidates should have strong skills in SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365), site customization, and content organization, and be comfortable working in a remote, collaborative environment.
This is a remotebased, parttime position averaging 10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. At least half of the weekly hours should be available during business hours to coordinate with stakeholders and project teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, develop, and manage SharePoint sites, pages, and document libraries for internal and client use.
Customize site templates, web parts, and workflows to meet business needs.
Maintain site usability and structure, ensuring userfriendly navigation and design consistency.
Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective SharePoint solutions.
Provide basic training or documentation for users interacting with the SharePoint environment.
Collaborate with IT and communications teams to support site branding and digital content integration.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Handson experience designing and maintaining SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365) sites.
Proficiency with web parts, lists, document libraries, and SharePoint permissions.
Understanding of user experience principles and site structure optimization.
Ability to troubleshoot common SharePoint issues and implement improvements.
Located in or eligible under HUBZone requirements.
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS
Experience with Power Automate and basic workflow automation.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic scripting for customizations.
Experience supporting SharePoint governance, metadata strategies, or taxonomy development.
Ability to create instructional content or guides for endusers.
Comfortable working independently and managing deliverables in a remote environment.
CERTIFICATIONS None required. Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint or Power Platform are a plus.
EDUCATION Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Web Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
