Job Description:

What you will do:

As a Senior CC++ Software Scientist, your talent and leadership abilities will be front and center. Youll work with a team of extraordinary scientists, engineers, and analysts to develop ideas that meet customer needs and push the limits of truly advanced technologies. You will develop algorithms and software, and access unique approaches to image data processing and exploitation for use in the latest ground processing architectures. You will also work with existing CC++ algorithms and advanced software automation, Machine Learning, target recognition, change detection, multisource data fusion, and tracking.

  • Design, develop, document and test advanced, automated feature extraction in CC++ and Python, algorithms.
  • Perform extraction from large geospatialspectral datasets.
  • Development of processing architectures and software for use with customer systems and sensors.
  • Explore new algorithms machine learning and artificial intelligence approaches for:
    • automated object detection classification
    • feature extractiontarget state estimation,
    • multisource data fusion.
      • Document developed algorithms and transition them to the software team for incorporation into the production code base.
      • Understand problem and technical approach based on underlying mathematicalheuristic models.
      • Demonstrate real data in real processing environments and meet critical mission requirements.
        • What you bring to the table:

          • U.S. citizenship is required.
          • Current TSSCI security POLY must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
          • Fluency in CC++ and Python required experience.
          • 10 years of relevant experience
          • Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Image Science, Remote Sensing, Optics, or other Physical Science or Engineering degree is required
            • Highly Desired:

              • Master’s and 12 years or PhD with Postdegree work experience and postdoctoral work experience and will count towards experience.
              • AWSCloud developmentcomputing and OpenCV
              • Working knowledge in statistical principles and probability theory, image segmentation, automated quantitative evaluation of image data, and feature extraction.
                • The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
