Role Summary:

Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team and lead the design of complex electrical systems for hyperscale and AI data centers across the United States. This is a remote role within an innovative, international engineering firm recognized for its cuttingedge work in missioncritical infrastructure.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, modeling, and execution of power systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with all applicable standards. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to develop electrical systems that support highcapacity, technologydriven environments.

    • What you will do:

      • Lead electrical engineering design activities on major projects in the United States.
      • Design, model, and simulate electrical systems for hyperscale and AI data centers.
      • Develop electrical systems including power distribution, UPS, standby generators, and security systems.
      • Prepare engineering calculations, schematic designs, and detailed designs.
      • Create technical documentation for project execution, including design criteria and specifications.
      • Collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate BIM models and resolve conflicts.
      • Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with engineering codes and safety standards.
      • Use BIM tools to virtually construct electrical systems and coordinate with other disciplines.
      • Manage and coordinate projects, including onsite supervision.
      • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress.
      • Utilize laser scanning technology to document installation states.
        • What we expect:

          • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
          • Minimum of 1015 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in the construction industry.
          • Experience with data center projects or other largescale industrial projects is a plus but not required.
          • Knowledge of electrical systems including MVLV power distribution, UPS, generators, redundancy strategies (N+1, 2N), and energy efficiency principles.
          • PE license preferred; additional certifications (LEED AP, PMP, etc.) are a plus.
          • Clear understanding of NEC, IEEE, and international electrical codes relevant to missioncritical facilities.
          • Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit), CAD modeling tools, and other relevant engineering software
          • Experience performing power system studies (short circuit, protectivedevice coordination, arcflash analysis) using SKM, Etap, or EasyPower Software.
          • Experience performing underground ductbank ampacityheat (NeherMcGrath) studies.
          • Strong understanding of electrical systems design, including power distribution, UPS systems, standby generators, and security systems.
          • Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
          • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
          • Strong project management abilities, including the coordination and supervision of onsite activities.
          • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
