Description

About Lovesac

We are a young-at-heart, fast-growing furniture company, dedicated to helping people fill their homes with Total Comfort™. We do this by designing and innovating furniture solutions that are adaptable, washable, expandable, and delivered-right-to-your-door-able, allowing our customers to live the life they want to live.

Our Designed for Life mission started with Sacs, a seat so much better than your classic beanbag made with repurposed Durafoam and designed to reduce environmental impact while providing unimaginable, cloud-like comfort. From there, we expanded the possibility for sustainable furniture with Sactionals, a customizable modular sectional that can be endlessly rearranged to evolve with you. Our product line has grown a lot since our Sacs days, but our goal will always remain the same – to create truly adaptable, comfortable furniture that can be with you for life.

About our Culture

At Lovesac, we strive to be an employer of choice by embodying a culture that encourages team members to think and dream big. We call this Top Ambition. We aim to not only excel within our industry, but also make a meaningful impact on the world. Above all else, we’re driven by love (because it matters) and are dedicated to promoting love and happiness in all aspects of our work. It’s about success, of course, but it’s also about making a positive impact on everyone our business touches.

About the Role

As our Director of Quality and Compliance, you will lead the strategy, implementation, and oversight of our organization’s quality assurance and regulatory compliance programs.  You will collaborate with the Global Sourcing and Product Development teams and ensure Lovesac operations meet the highest standards of excellence, adhere to all relevant industry standards, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across teams and functions.

This position is remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate HUB based in Stamford, CT.  Candidates must fully reside in the United States at all times during employment and should have the ability to travel both domestically and internationally to visit vendors, suppliers and manufacturing warehouses.

Vendor Compliance & Manufacturing Standards

  • Successfully vet and onboard new vendors/mills on quality and compliance SOPs as identified by the vendor manual and industry standards.
  • Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Develop and manage supplier quality programs, including supplier qualification, receiving inspection, and first article inspection in accordance with industry standards
  • Drive supplier performance improvements through data analysis, corrective action plans (CAPs), and continuous improvement initiatives.

Regulatory & Legal Compliance

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. and international regulations related to furniture safety, labeling, flammability, and environmental impact.
  • Conduct supplier audits in conjunction with 3rd party auditors to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and certification records (e.g., testing results, declarations of conformity, labeling verification).
  • Manage any product recalls or compliance investigations in coordination with legal, regulatory agencies, and customer service teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, and E-commerce to integrate quality and compliance practices across all channels.
  • Partner with Product Development (PD) to ensure that manufacturers meet specifications as identified by final tech packs created and established by internal teams.
  • Provide strategic insights and reporting to executive leadership on emerging risks, trends, and areas of opportunity.
  • Support training and communication programs to educate employees and vendors on quality and compliance protocols.
