Pay: Starting at $140,000 145,000 (Negotiable) Full benefits included
As a Senior Linux Automation System Administrator, you will support a classified Raytheon program by building, maintaining, and securing IT systems. You will directly support missioncritical customer capabilities and collaborate with developers and system engineers to diagnose issues and implement solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems
Developing and utilizing automation tools (e.g., Ansible), scripting in Bash and Python
Supporting hardware installations (must be able to lift up to 35 lbs)
Participating in afterhours maintenance and oncall support as needed
Traveling occasionally to support installations
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 6+ years
Active and transferable U.S. government TSSCI with polygraph (must be in place before start)
U.S. Citizenship
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, or CND)
Handson experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Proficiency in automation and scripting (Ansible, Bash, Python)
Experience with VMware vCenter for deployingadministering virtualized environments
Familiarity with network device management
Experience administering Windows systems
Knowledge of DevOps pipeline tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory
Strong independent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
