Aduro Advisors is looking for bright and talented individuals to join our team working to support toptier clients in the Venture Capital & Private Equity space. Were seeking a highly experienced and dynamic VP of Sales and Business Development to build out a strategy to increase our position in the Private Equity market and continued growth of brand in the Venture Capital market.

The VP of Sales and Business Development will work alongside our CEO and Executive Team to create a strategy to increase our position within the private equity space, as well as continue growing our existing client base in our established market of venture capital. This person should be a strategic thinker with strong project management skills who can pivot from big picture to handson seamlessly. This person should have a proven track record of success and have experience overseeing and building a sales team.


Here is the type of work you will do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet Aduro’s longterm growth revenue objectives that includes but is not limited to:
  • Review of existing sales process and supporting collateral in conjunction with Aduro’s Marketing team
  • Development of an Aduro presence and deeper partner relationships within the Private Equity industry
  • Collaboration on event sponsorship strategy and supporting collateral with COO
  • Outbound sales strategy
  • Run an efficient and highperforming BD team including:
  • Review of the existing sales process and development and implementation of a plan to increase effectiveness in line with industry best practices
  • Mentor & support Business Development team achieving their revenue goals
  • Ensure proper team structure & management of team performance
  • Structure and manage a fair and competitive commission structure for the business development team
  • Oversee the management of prospective client data in Salesforce ensuring that it is comprehensive, accurate, and uptodate for recurring weekly pipeline management as well as recurring and ad hoc reporting to the Aduro Executive Team and Board of Directors
  • Ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing with the Client Onboarding team to ensure that the Onboarding team has insight into the imminent sales pipeline and sufficient client data to facilitate a seamless and high quality client experience
  • Obtain a deep understanding of the Aduro service offering, FundPanel.io software platform, Aduro client base, and overall competitive landscape to craft a message that is inline with Aduro’s service offering and resonates with potential Aduro clients
  • Collaborate with the CEO and COO on Aduro pricing strategy and provide feedback as to what is ‘market’ in the industry
  • Travel to attend inoffice collaboration meetings with the greater BD team or Executive Leadership team periodically. There is no weekly requirement to be in office, but the VP of Sales and Business Development should use inperson meetings as a tool to run the team effectively as needed.
  • Travel to Business Developmentrelated events such as conferences or event sponsorships is a requirement of this role. Cadence of inperson attendance should average out over time to be monthly but may vary based on specific event needs.
    • The salary range for the VP of Sales and Business Development position is $250,000 $285,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level. This role is eligible to participate in the Aduro Bonus Program and an employee Equity Plan.

        • Requirements
          • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
          • 15+ years of progressive experience in clientfacing roles within the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., Director, VP, Managing Director) on a Business Development Team.
          • Deep and comprehensive understanding of fund administration operations for alternative investment funds (e.g., hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate funds).
          • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing client relationships, demonstrating exceptional client retention and satisfaction.
          • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, investment strategies, and regulatory environments relevant to alternative investments (e.g., SEC, FATCA, CRS).
          • Exceptional leadership, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all levels.
          • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop highperforming teams.
          • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving client challenges.
          • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, complex, and highly regulated environment.
