Overview:
MetroSys is seeking an experienced Virtualization Consultant to support a project focused on migrating virtual workloads from VMware to Microsoft HyperV. This is a contractbased role requiring a handson technical expert with proven experience planning and executing largescale virtualization platform transitions. The consultant will work closely with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure a smooth and efficient migration.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess existing VMware infrastructure and develop a detailed migration strategy to HyperV.
Perform analysis of virtual machine dependencies, storage configurations, and networking requirements.
Configure and deploy HyperV hosts, clusters, and associated virtual networks.
Execute the migration of VMs with minimal downtime, using tools such as System Center VMM or 3rdparty solutions.
Test postmigration workloads for performance and compatibility, and provide troubleshooting as needed.
Document processes, configurations, and provide knowledge transfer to internal IT staff.
