Job description
Grafana Labs is a remotefirst, opensource powerhouse. There are more than 20M users of Grafana, the open source visualization tool, around the globe, monitoring everything from beehives to climate change in the Alps. The instantly recognizable dashboards have been spotted everywhere from a NASA launch and Minecraft HQ to Wimbledon and the Tour de France. Grafana Labs also helps more than 3,000 companies including Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, and eBay manage their observability strategies with the Grafana LGTM Stack, which can be run fully managed with Grafana Cloud or selfmanaged with the Grafana Enterprise Stack, both featuring scalable metrics (Grafana Mimir), logs (Grafana Loki), and traces (Grafana Tempo).
This is a fully remote position and were considering candidates in the Americas Eastern Time zones.
- Provide crossorganizational leadership, effectively translating strategic objectives into actionable programs with clear timelines and measurable outcomes by collaborating with Engineering, Product, GotoMarket and external partner teams
- Lead endtoend technical programs and largescale initiatives from inception to delivery across Grafana’s platform and opensource ecosystem
- Serve as the core spokesperson for largescale programs and communicate with all levels of the company and organization
- Document and regularly publish plans, progress reports, and retrospective analyses for the initiatives
- Identify and mitigate risks and interdependencies across complex, multiteam initiatives to ensure programs maintain forward momentum toward agreed outcomes
- Facilitate continuous improvement in collaboration with Engineering and Product Management leaders

- 6+ years of experience as a program manager, or an engineering leader with deeply developed program management skills
- Proven track records of successfully delivering complex, multiyear technical programs spanning multiple engineering teams
- Experience managing programs in highly distributed, remotefirst organizations
- Strong communication skills in multiple forms across all levels of the organization
- Ability to work asynchronously and with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to consider the balance between short and long term solutions and their impacts, and help drive an effective decision
- Experience with observability platforms, monitoring infrastructure, ideally with Grafana products
- Experience with infrastructure deployment across different cloud providers

In the United States, the Base compensation range for this role is CAD$153,000 CAD$184,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All of our roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs success. We believe in shared outcomes—RSUs help us stay aligned and invested as we scale globally.
