Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a business development professional to take ownership of lead generation and outreach activities for a growing consultancy. You’ll play a pivotal role in building the company’s pipeline by conducting strategic research, crafting compelling outreach campaigns, and managing initial prospect communications. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys the research and relationship-building aspects of sales, working closely with the business owner to identify and engage high-quality prospects. You’ll have the autonomy to develop and execute outreach strategies while the business owner focuses on client delivery, making your role essential to the company’s growth and success.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on target prospects and specific contacts within key industries including nonprofits
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive contact database to support ongoing business development efforts
  • Craft compelling email outreach campaigns and refine draft communications for maximum impact
  • Manage LinkedIn outreach activities including connection requests and strategic messaging
  • Handle initial prospect communications and follow-up sequences to nurture leads through the pipeline
  • Support broader business development initiatives and lead generation strategies
  • Provide administrative support including email management and calendar coordination as needed
  • Collaborate with the business owner to refine targeting strategies and optimize outreach effectiveness
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in lead generation, business development, or B2B sales support roles
  • Strong research skills with ability to identify and qualify prospects across various industries
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn for professional networking and outreach activities
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience crafting effective email campaigns
  • Experience building and maintaining contact databases and CRM systems
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple outreach campaigns simultaneously
  • Administrative capabilities including email and calendar management
  • Self-directed work style with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Experience working with nonprofit sector or mission-driven organizations is a plus
