This is a remote position.
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 9am - 6pm (includes 1hr unpaid break)
Client Timezone: Eastern Time
Virtual/remote work arrangement via Zoom platform
Serving primarily Spanish-speaking patient population (90% of patients)
Manhattan, New York based physical therapy practice
Medicaid-funded patient population including elderly and minority communities
Immediate start preferred (ASAP timeline)
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary front desk receptionist via Zoom for patient interactions
Handle back and forth client communications professionally and with care
Conduct patient intake processes and verify patient details
Process and verify insurance information for patients
Welcome patients as the front face of the office with professional presentation
Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination
Provide customer service support to patients throughout their healthcare experience
Communicate effectively with both Spanish and English-speaking patients
Fluent bilingual communication skills in both Spanish and English
Strong customer service background with healthcare or medical field experience required
HIPAA compliance knowledge and training capability
Professional presentation skills for video-based patient interactions
Experience handling patient communications with care and empathy
Ability to work virtually via Zoom platform
Healthcare receptionist or medical assistant background preferred
Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions
