Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture & Strategy Define and evolve the enterprise-wide DevOps strategy, infrastructure architecture, and cloud-native best practices.
  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized infrastructure on public cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure).
  • Set standards for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps methodologies.
  • Evaluate and adopt modern DevOps tooling and technologies. CI/CD Ownership Lead the design and maintenance of robust CI/CD pipelines across multiple services and environments.
  • Champion continuous testing, automated deployments, and rollback mechanisms.
  • Optimize release orchestration processes for speed, reliability, and auditability.
  • Security & Compliance Implement and advocate security best practices in infrastructure and software delivery (e.g., IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning).
  • Ensure systems are compliant with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NERC CIP if in energy sector).
  • Lead incident response playbooks and disaster recovery planning. Monitoring, Observability & SRE Practices Drive adoption of SRE principles: SLOs, SLIs, error budgets.
  • Design and maintain centralized monitoring, alerting, and logging platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
  • Lead root cause analysis and blameless postmortems.
  • Operational Excellence Proactively identify and remove infrastructure bottlenecks.
  • Establish performance metrics and dashboards for infrastructure and DevOps health.
  • Deep experience with cloud providers (preferably AWS, but GCP/Azure acceptable).
  • Advanced skills in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation).
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Strong coding/scripting ability in Python, Go, Bash, or similar. Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Spinnaker).
  • Solid knowledge of networking, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and CDNs.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure system design.
