Job Description

Miltenyi Bioindustry is globally expanding its contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) services to support customers in their advancement of cell and gene therapy (CGT) product candidates into the clinic, through early- and late-stage clinical trials, towards registration and commercialization. With significant investments into the expansion of our capacities in clinical- and commercial-scale manufacturing for lentiviral vectors and cell manufacturing, we are expanding our commercial team and are looking for a

Business Development Manager – CDMO Services Europe (m|f|d)

Your role:

  • You identify new Miltenyi Bioindustry customers and projects, qualify leads and develop high value, long-term sales opportunities and develop strong customer relationships.
  • You are responsible for project acquisition and contract negotiation, and will be the primary contact for Miltenyi Bioindustry clients prior to contract execution.
  • You are a member of our global Miltenyi Business Development team and will be the business partner of our global CDMO Account Management team from acquisition, implementation and execution of „your“ projects.
  • You establish strong working relationships with Miltenyi Biotec’s key account and sales teams (selling off-the-shelf products) to effectively coordinate cross-selling opportunities and to present a consistent interface with our customers.

Qualifications
  • You have successfully completed your academic studies in biology, biochemistry or biotechnology and have a track record of at least 5 years in Sales and/or Business Development in Biotech or Pharma, or equivalent education and experience.
  • You have an entrepreneurial, customer- and goal-oriented mindset and a track record in deal making and contract negotiations.
  • You have a strong background in alliance, program and/or project management with a focus on therapeutic product development, and a good understanding of the technical needs of cell and gene therapies. Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements would be a benefit.
  • You have excellent communication skills, can motivate yourself and others, act as a team player and are focused on outcome and joint successes.
