Job purpose

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to help lead our Railbookers Account Executive
teams. This is a hands-on inside sales role that will be responsible for providing strong support to the Inside
Sales management team and leadership to the growing team of Account Executives. Sales goals are achieved by
training and coaching employees in real time to develop their selling skills, and by effectively managing their
sales business and pipeline. This individual will work closely with various other departments to ensure a high
quality of customer care as well as high conversion rates. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of
sales success and demonstrate an aptitude to develop and coach others to equal levels of success.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Availability to work hours aligned with Western Australian trading hours are essential
  • Manage a team of Account Executives.
  • Responsible for providing strategic direction and coaching for the sales team including reviewing metrics and performance development, to ensure achievement of sales goals and our core KPI’s.
  • Deliver remote side by side coaching, consistently monitoring Account Executive calls and sales skills to assess areas for improvement.
  • Take over calls to help close sales and be available to assist on calls when an Account Executive appears to need assistance.
  • Conduct regular outbound calls (agent bookings, Top Travel Agents, agent open quotes, etc)
  • Monitor call queue and track inbound calls. Keep agents aware of inbound calls, calls waiting and abandonment rate.
  • Monitor agent activity and status to ensure maximum productivity, driving the team to make outbound calls when inbound call volume decreases.
  • Motivate and encourage Account Executives through regular communication and feedback.
  • Contribute toward and lead weekly sales trainings when required.
  • Conduct regular 1-2 and 3-1 sessions with Account Executives.
  • Lead new hire training sessions when required.
  • Collaborate with the training department to assist in the improvement of employee development.
  • Suggest ideas for contests, awards and themes that increase agents' loyalty and focus.
  • Take ownership of escalated customer care cases.
  • Fix system and build errors to ensure the team can function without reliance on support departments.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications

 

  • Strong phone presence and experience handling dozens of calls per day
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization internally, as well as communicating with external representatives such as TA’s
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel or similar
  • Previous experience in the training and coaching of sales agents preferable
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the sales process
  • Energetic, positive attitude and team-player, with a desire to win mentality
