About the Role

As a China Creative Manager at Canva, you will play a vital role in shaping and executing innovative content strategies within the dynamic world of social media in China. Your primary focus will be on leveraging your expertise in digital storytelling to craft visually appealing and engaging content that resonates with Chinese audiences. By actively engaging as an influencer and excelling in shooting and editing videos, you will help expand Canva's presence and accelerate growth in the Chinese market.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Product Insights:

  • Familiarize yourself with Canva's products, features, and functional tips to craft appealing creatives for various target audiences and their specific needs. 

2. Creative Strategy & Production:

  • Develop video ad concepts that visually demonstrate core product features (e.g., templates, AI tools, collaboration). 
  • Master platform algorithms (TikTok/Red) to design trend-driven hooks
  • Produce benchmark creatives personally as team references.

3. Data-Oriented Optimization:

  • Use video completion rate as primary KPI 
  • Analyze viral video patterns (retention spikes, CTA placement) to build scalable creative playbooks.  

4. Vendor Ecosystem Management:

  • Build and maintain a network of content partners (videographers, animators, editors), establishing quality control and rapid delivery systems.
  • Manage the entire production process to ensure the delivery of the necessary creative assets.
