Job description

About the role

The Games Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of game launches and the overall quality of the game portfolio. This position is responsible for coordinating interns to verify all necessary checks for game readiness, designing and maintaining checklists to ensure compliance, and supporting the implementation of product-driven projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the product and be capable of executing specific projects derived from internal product team requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Game Quality Assurance & Checklist Management
    • Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive checklist for game launch validation, ensuring all key criteria are met before release.

    • Oversee and coordinate interns in conducting game checks, ensuring thorough verification of game functionality, usability, and compliance.

    • Report and escalate any issues identified during the quality assurance process to the Games Manager and relevant teams.

    • Continuously update and optimize checklists based on game performance, feedback, and evolving requirements.

  2. Intern Coordination & Training
    • Organize, train, and supervise interns to ensure they perform game checks efficiently and accurately.

    • Provide clear guidelines and documentation to interns regarding validation processes and expected outcomes.

    • Ensure consistency in game verification procedures by maintaining structured training materials and monitoring intern performance

  3. Project Implementation & Execution
    • Support the execution of concrete projects derived from product team requirements, ensuring timely and accurate implementation.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Development, and QA, to ensure project goals are met.

    • Maintain clear communication and documentation for assigned projects, tracking progress and reporting outcomes to the Games Manager.

    • Identify potential improvements in game-related processes and contribute to operational efficiency.

  4. Product Knowledge & Support
    • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the games portfolio, including launch mechanics, features, and technical requirements.

    • Assist in troubleshooting game-related issues and provide support to internal teams regarding game functionality.

    • Stay up to date with market trends and emerging game technologies to contribute to process improvements.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Game Development, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

    • Experience with ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Monday) is considered an asset

    • Proficiency in English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.

    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative when needed.

  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of the gaming industry and gaming platforms is preferred.
