Job Description

HCL Commerce Leader - Job Description - 8+ Years

  • Ensure effective utilization of environments so that they are used in the most cost-efficient way
  • Ensure the design and architecture of the hosted infrastructure supports the technical needs of the business
  • Ensure that there are DR plans in place to meet agreed SLAs and ensure feature parity across Data Centres
  • Define and implement consistent and robust support and change processes that are well documented and in line with agreed standards
  • Work with Delivery Teams to define the correct infrastructure for their needs
  • Implement monitoring of the infrastructure to ensure that system performance is optimal and that potential issues are actioned before becoming service impacting
  • Work with the Infosec team to ensure compliance to security policy
  • Work with the Corporate Networks team to ensure that infrastructure is aligned with global networks strategy
  • Be a driver for Operational Excellence from your team
  • Be the escalation point for Infrastructure issues
  • Qualifications for ecommerce lead
  • Own the governance for Public Cloud usage
  • Significant knowledge of the network concept behind VMware technology
  • Significant proven experience in delivering mission critical, highly robust and scalable hosted platforms for high-volume websites
  • Experience of public/private/hybrid cloud, like AWS for public Cloud and vRA (vRealize Automation) for VMware part
  • Strong technical appreciation and deep understanding of a wide range of technologies and concepts, including Cloud (OpenStack, AWS), Libvirt, Load Balancing, Linux, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, DNS, SDN, Cisco, Checkpoint, Firewalls
