Position: Program Manager – 1 year consulting

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Program Manager to lead the internal project for the successful go-live of a key strategic product launch. This critical role will champion cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and meticulous project execution to ensure the seamless deployment and adoption of the product both internally and for sales readiness. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience managing complex enterprise software projects, a talent for driving organizational change, and an unwavering commitment to timely, high-quality delivery.

Location: Remote / East Coast U.S.-based candidates working EST hours

Duration: 1 year consulting role

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership for the product go-live initiative. Define project vision, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for key deliverables from cross-functional departments.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of project contact for internal stakeholders, including IT, business units and executive sponsors, Facilitate clear communication, manage expectations, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Assign clear responsibilities, track progress, and proactively resolve obstacles.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop robust mitigation strategies. Monitor emerging issues and adapt plans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Change Management: Drive adoption by developing and executing comprehensive change management plans. Ensure delivery of training, documentation, and other organizational readiness activities.
  • Quality Assurance: In collaboration with QA team ensure testing, validation, and quality control processes are in place to guarantee a dependable and effective go-live. Establish benchmarks for quality gates.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor progress, and provide regular status updates to leadership and project sponsors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Capture lessons learned during project execution and recommend process improvements for future initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing enterprise software product implementation projects, with at least 5 years in a program or project management role.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams through full project lifecycles, including go-live and post-deployment support.
  • Experience with supply chain strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise IT environments, integration, and data migration concepts.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and supporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong change management and training design/delivery experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or similar certification an asset.
