Job description

Description

Modern Tribe is a digital agency that builds solutions with lasting impact and we’re looking for a Product Strategist who thrives at the intersection of business goals, user experience, and technology. This is a client-facing role where strategy meets execution, vision meets research, and collaboration powers innovation.
As a Product Strategist, you’ll guide the discovery and definition of digital experiences that help our clients succeed. You’ll work directly with stakeholders to understand their objectives, translate them into actionable plans, and support cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept to MVP to growth.
If you love turning ambiguity into action, asking the right questions, and shaping ideas into scalable roadmaps, you might be our kind of strategist.
This is a remote, part-time engagement (approximately 15–20 hours per week) anticipated to run for up to one year, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs.
Compensation is $60–$80 per hour, commensurate with experience and expertise.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead Discovery: Uncover business goals, user needs, and product opportunities through research, workshops, and stakeholder interviews
  • Bridge the Gap: Translate complex business objectives into clear requirements, user stories, KPIs, and product plans
  • Guide Execution: Partner with design and development teams to ensure creative and technical output aligns with vision, scope, and strategy
  • Own the Roadmap: Define MVPs, prioritize features, and support release strategies with agility and foresight
  • Be the Face of Strategy: Act as a primary client liaison—building relationships, presenting ideas, and facilitating collaboration
  • Fuel Informed Decisions: Conduct market analysis, competitor audits, and performance reviews to keep products evolving
  • Drive Results: Help develop success metrics, inform sprint planning, and align stakeholders around measurable goals
  • Champion Product Thinking: Evangelize product best practices, maintain guidelines, and elevate team performance
What You’ll Bring
  • 2+ years in a product strategy, product management, UX/CX strategy, or digital consulting role
  • Experience working with digital agencies, cross-functional teams, and diverse stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design, agile methodologies, and digital product lifecycles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill; you know how to talk tech, translate business needs, and build consensus
  • Ability to lead through influence and organize complex ideas into clear deliverables
  • Self-starter mindset with high initiative and ownership over your work
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience writing or interpreting technical scopes and development documentation
  • Familiarity with WordPress, content management systems, or digital publishing tools
  • Background in UX, content strategy, or creative direction
We Offer:
  • A collaborative team culture
  • Consistent/set work hours
  • Challenging non-redundant daily duties
  • A voice in how things get done
  • Access to ongoing training
