Job Summary

This role is a people leader role leading a team Project Controls Analysts to drive real time cost and delivery reporting. The Region Productivity Manager will drive cost out targets across our project portfolio including but not limited to contractual and transactional portfolios, by partnering with customers to develop effective positions and practices. This position will ensure we optimize all outages within the region by deep diving into: number of resources, shift patterns, tooling, productivity projects, standards versus estimates and actuals, etc. This position will work closely with the FieldCore and GE Regions as well as GE Global Ops to implement new productivity projects and enhanced ongoing ones.  Further, this position is responsible for assigning PCA’s to tracked outages and ensuring both Productivity and Project Controls metrics are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Project Controls Analysts (PCA’s) to drive real time cost and delivery reporting.
  • Coach, train and assign PCA’s to both CS, TX and Steam outages being tracked ensuring that we have detailed, accurate Outage Health Trackers reporting on both Cost and Delivery (OTD).
  • Manage both the Productivity metrics (JCE, Cost Out, PSCR, POR) and the Project Controls metrics (PPR/OHT, Accurate Outage Cost Reporting, Financial Audits, OTD).
  • Ensure that both the Financial and Operating data being reporting is accurate and detailed for proper operational decision making – this would be the OHT/PPR audit and operating impacts as the outage progresses.
  • Ensure PCA’s are properly assigned to multiple outages and that engagement with the field team is valued.
  • Drive cost out targets for contractual and transactional portfolios by partnering with customers, GE and FieldCore Regional teams to develop effective positions and practices needed to achieve these targets
  • Establish and implement targets for all projects based on technology, site configuration and scope of work and work closely with Service Managers and GE to achieve.
  • Leverage the standardized packages provided by GE Global Ops to execute outages and industrialize them while ensuring regional best practices and lessons learned are also included.
  • Standardize processes to achieve cost-out targets through utilization of job cost estimates (JCE) or similar tools as well as man-loaded schedules aligned to scope of work
  • Analyze and calibrate the projected work scope, resources, hours, and cost against the target for every outage to ensure effective execution within the business targets.
  • Set a regional process in place to drive pre-outage reviews and post outage reviews with proper reporting and metrics.
  • Identify deviations in JCEs versus actuals and work with Service Directors and Service Managers to implement corrective actions
  • Develop and implement metrics to analyze cost and hours trends as well as overall outage performance versus standards, etc.
  • Influence GE Global Ops team to drive the next wave of productivity ideas.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure business objectives are met
  • Partner with Global Quality team to conduct deep dive analysis and reviews in support of any RCAs.
  • Build Region Productivity team.
  • Responsible for the Region Site Compensation JCE reviews and approval.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • 5+ years progressive experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 3+ years of specialized/industry experience
  • 3+ years managing and developing employees
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in power generation or technical industry can be substituted for degree and/or project management experience
Desired Characteristics:
  • 4 to 6 years of leadership level experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading Productivity or Project Management teams
