Odoo Implementation & Evaluation Consultant (Contract, Remote)

Brightvision is a Sweden‑headquartered B2B demand generation agency that helps technology companies accelerate revenue through demand generation, SDR services, and data‑driven marketing strategy. As part of our continuous improvement program, we are assessing best‑of‑breed tools to streamline internal workflows and give our consultants more time to focus on client success.

Project Overview

We are exploring a potential migration from our current time‑reporting/project management/scheduling solution to Odoo (https://www.odoo.com)

To make an informed decision, we seek an experienced Odoo professional who can:

  • Evaluate which Odoo modules (Timesheets, Project, HR, Accounting, etc.) best meet Brightvision’s requirements.
  • Configure a sandbox instance that simulates day‑to‑day operations for one of our business units.
  • Demonstrate core workflows (time entry, approval, invoicing, reporting) and highlight gaps or customizations needed.
  • Provide a clear cost/benefit and risk analysis to guide our “go/no‑go” decision.

The initial engagement is 2–3 months (approximately Aug/Sept -> Oct/Nov 2025), with the possibility of extension into a full rollout or ongoing support phase.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Discovery & Requirements Capture – Conduct interviews with finance, project management, and HR stakeholders; map current processes.
  2. Solution Design – Recommend Odoo modules, configurations, and any custom developments required to replicate Brightvision’s workflows.
  3. Sandbox Setup – Create and configure a fresh Odoo database, establish a new company structure, load sample data, and set role‑based access controls.
  4. Demonstration & Training – Run live demos for the Swedish project team; prepare concise user guides or videos.
  5. Evaluation Report – Deliver a written assessment covering functionality fit, integration needs, implementation timeline, licensing, and total cost of ownership.
  6. Knowledge Transfer – Handover documentation, configuration scripts, and best‑practice recommendations for a potential production rollout.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands‑on Odoo implementation experience, including at least two full projects where you set up a brand‑new company database from scratch.
  • Deep knowledge of Timesheets, Project, and HR/Payroll modules; familiarity with Accounting and Invoicing workflows.
  • Proven ability to import/export data, configure user roles, design custom reports, and install community or enterprise add‑ons.
  • Comfortable gathering requirements, running workshops, and presenting findings to non‑technical stakeholders (excellent spoken and written English).
  • Experience working as an independent consultant or freelancer with remote international teams.
  • Reliable internet connection and ability to overlap at least 3 hours per day with Central European working hours (UTC+1).

Nice‑to‑Have

  • Odoo certification (Functional v15+ or Technical).
  • Prior exposure to Nordic accounting practices or EU/SaaS consultancy environments.
  • Basic understanding of Zapier, Make/Integromat, or REST API integrations.

Contract & Compensation

  • Type: Independent contractor / freelance (B2B invoice).
  • Duration: 2–3 months (extension possible).
  • Workload: ~20–30 hours per week (negotiable).
  • Location: Remote within the Philippines.
  • Pay: Competitive hourly or project‑based rate, commensurate with expertise.
