Summary

Are you a strategic communicator who sees the big picture and knows how to turn ideas into meaningful engagement? Do you love collaborating across teams to bring marketing campaigns to life? We’d love to meet you! Breakthrough T1D is looking for a strategic, creative, and collaborative Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Strategy team. Reporting to the Director, Marketing Strategy, this role is key to bringing Breakthrough T1D’s fundraising and community programs to life through insight-driven, integrated communications planning and execution. You’ll work across teams to elevate brand awareness, translate organizational priorities into meaningful action, and deepen engagement with our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of year-round, insight-driven communications plans that define how the organization communicates its mission, impact, and initiatives across all channels
  • Translate organizational goals into clear, actionable marketing strategies that align with brand and inspire action across all channels – email, web, social, earned media, and more
  • Be a subject matter expert on program alignment, audience segmentation, and organizational strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with internal partner teams and external agencies to ensure strategic alignment and brand consistency across all touchpoints
  • Oversee campaign kickoffs, content reviews, and performance tracking to ensure strategic goals are met
  • Elevate brand awareness through compelling storytelling that reaches new audiences and deepens engagement with existing supporters

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing strategy and planning, non-profit industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications
  • A successful track record of developing integrated communications plans that acquire, retain, and engage supporters
  • Experience using data, insights to inform integrated communications planning
  • Comfort, intuitive understanding of digital and physical communications channels, including social media, web, paid media, email, PR, events
  • Ability to craft simple, pragmatic strategies and creative briefs
  • Experience working cross-functionally, leading with positivity, collaboration, and clarity
  • Strong presentation skills, comfort presenting to all seniority levels
  • Familiarity with type 1 diabetes a plus
  • Candidates who are bilingual and able to engage diverse, global audiences preferred

Target Salary: $70-85k base
