[What you will be working on]

About the team

The Government Digital Product (GDP) team aims to orchestrate the digital transformation of government. Our team aims to design and develop software applications that help government agencies to better serve the needs of the people of Singapore with the right technologies and better user experience.

This role sits with the Digital Society Products (DSP) division as a member of the HDB Contact Centre product.The HDB Contact Centre provides comprehensive support for housing applications and transactions through multiple channels. You will be conducting research on support channels and designing solutions to support HDB officers handling inquiries from prospective and existing flat owners navigating HDB’s housing schemes and application processes.

What to expect

Within your first month…

You have understood the overall product strategy, did a stock take on the UX status of the project, and contributed to UX activities in the product.

By the end of 3 months…

You have led research efforts to identify at least one opportunity for the product to grow or proposed enhancements for the existing tracks, in collaboration with designers, engineers, and product managers.

Beyond that…

You continue to solve problems such as how can we resolve the agency pain point and improve ops efficiency, use data to improve government services, design for reusability across products.

[What we are looking for]

  • You have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of user centricity.

  • You need to be able to grasp the use case and come up with the task flows in a short span of time.

  • You are able to drive product solutions that service the goals of both the users and stakeholders.

  • You are able to translate user research into design recommendations and findings.

  • You are data-driven, with experience in user research, in order to use data to justify design decisions.

  • You are able to tackle complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs.

  • Good organisational, presentation and listening skills.

  • Be flexible, be a team player, solve problems, and contribute to the UX and product team’s success.

Good to have:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in end-to-end delivery of digital products. That would include experience in facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, usability testing, envisioning flows, and delivering hi-fidelity mockups.

  • Experience in Agile and UX development environment will be an added advantage

  • Previous experience leading a team in UX design will be an added advantage
