Manager Level

About the Position

As the Manager – Information Technology you will be responsible for administering and managing all the IT Infrastructure and support staff. Additionally, you will ensure a high level of dynamic and responsive IT support for both internal and external customers. The Manager will oversee the daily management of the IT department by providing technical leadership and mentoring to IT Team Members. The manager oversees IT Infrastructure Security and Compliance. A successful candidate will look for ways to embrace NEI’s goal of being a technology-focused company.

 

Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 / year

The salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.

This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Manages the daily guidance, hiring, development, training, and workload management of IT team members
  • Develops and maintains technology policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ensures excellent customer service of IT staff, both internal and external
  • Manages the organization's Azure cloud infrastructure and cloud budget
  • Manages network operations including troubleshooting connectivity problems, installing, and maintaining routers and switches
  • Performs System Administrator duties as needed, including advanced Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Windows troubleshooting
  • Ensures technology documents/certificates such as product registrations, SSL certificates, maintenance agreements, service contracts, software licenses, etc. related to the operation of the company are evaluated, updated, and processed
  • Maintains and tests a Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Maintains, and tests an Incident Response Plan
  • Supports the current and future cybersecurity infrastructure
  • Ensures proper redundant Data Backup solutions including offsite backups
  • Assists non-IT team members in understanding and using technology
  • Respects confidentiality in discussing team members; maintains confidentiality of organization, project, fiscal, and personnel-related information
  • Maintains knowledge of networking and IT industry standard practices by reading technology periodicals, evaluating new technologies and attending tradeshows, technical seminars and training sessions or assigning a delegate from IT Staff
  • Other duties as assigned
Must Have
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in IT Support or Systems Administrator roles
  • Experience working with Active Directory, Windows Operating System, Microsoft 365 Admin, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Intune, and Azure required
  • Must have the ability to diagnose, research, and resolve technical issues
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Capable of prioritizing and adapting to varying workloads
  • Possess a high degree of accuracy, with strong attention to detail
  • Must have a customer-oriented approach and be even-tempered
  • Knowledge of network security practices and end point protection
  • Must have the ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
  • Passionate about continually improving IT by understanding the balance between new technology and processes juxtaposed to the need for a reliable and secure IT infrastructure
