Job description

Job Overview

This role plays an essential role in the successful execution of the Information Governance program in RDS, supporting day to day business requirements implementing privacy, regulatory, and security controls to meet legal and contractual obligations in information handling, as well as drive toward IQVIA’s overall data strategy  This role has opportunities to be customer facing and presents an excellent opportunity to interact with senior leaders, gain skillsets, and for growth within a dynamic organization. 

Essential Functions

  • Analyze information to identify capability gaps in the context of emerging technologies and data use,  security and regulatory considerations, and changes in industry standards.

  • Identify issues and solutions related to information governance principles of privacy, good clinical practice, clinical trial regulations, contract law, security requirements, and good data governance. Develop and maintain tools and data collections supporting information governance in technology and business innovations.

  • Support audits and inspections related to regulatory compliance, privacy, and security implementation.

  • Liaise with and support senior leaders in the organization with information governance.

  • Maintain regulatory and data processing records such as Records of Processing, data inventories, data flow diagrams, Data Protection Impact Assessments.

  • Interact with customers and the business to support new business.

  • Support multi-country intelligence development and clinical operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree  in a related field required; graduate or professional degree preferred

  • Experience in information governance, privacy, contract review, security technology, project management, and/or strategy

  • Experience in the clinical research or pharmaceutical industry preferred

  • Information governance, Privacy, or security certifications such as CIPP, CIPM Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills

  • Ability to spot issues related to information governance

  • Excellent logical reasoning and writing abilities

  • A curious mind with a willingness to learn new skills

  • Ability to work successfully with people from a variety cultures or backgrounds

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $84,900.00 - $212,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
