About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Lead – Visual Analytics to join our Data & Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in data visualization and business intelligence tools—particularly Tableau—who can lead end-to-end visualization projects, mentor a team, and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.

As the Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing intuitive and impactful visual dashboards and analytical solutions that turn complex data into actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure visual solutions align with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership:
    Lead the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated dashboards and data visualizations that effectively communicate key performance indicators, trends, and insights.
  • Visualization Strategy:
    Define the visual analytics roadmap and best practices for the organization, ensuring consistent and scalable visual solutions across all departments.
  • Team Mentorship:
    Mentor and guide junior analysts and developers on data visualization principles, design standards, and Tableau development techniques.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with product managers, data engineers, business analysts, and decision-makers to understand analytical needs and translate them into visual analytics solutions.
  • Tool & Platform Management:
    Drive best practices in the use of Tableau Server and Tableau Online environments, including performance optimization, governance, and data security.
  • Data Quality & Integration:
    Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources and maintain high data quality for all visual reporting solutions.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Monitor dashboard performance and usage to ensure optimal user experience and relevance of the analytics provided.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Present and explain complex visualizations and business stories to senior stakeholders, enabling effective data-driven decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data visualization and analytics with a strong portfolio of dashboard and reporting solutions.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
  • Strong foundation in data storytelling, UX principles, and designing dashboards for executive consumption.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data modeling, and database connectivity.
  • Experience working with large datasets and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions using visual tools.

Preferred Skills:
  • Exposure to other visualization tools like Power BI, Looker, or D3.js.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python or R for analytical tasks.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Git.
