About the Role: 

We’re seeking a skilled, detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team and help build and manage a growing portfolio of websites in the plastic surgery niche. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an independent, fast-paced environment and brings a strong mix of technical SEO knowledge, solid design instincts, and deep WordPress expertise.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and configure new WordPress sites using the Kadence theme and BigScoots hosting. 
• Manage both frontend and backend tasks, including plugin setup, speed optimization (WP Rocket), and clean site architecture.
• Format and publish SEO-optimized pages from provided content, ensuring strong visual hierarchy, spacing, and readability.
• Troubleshoot indexing and visibility issues via Google Search Console.
• Apply a design-savvy eye to layout tweaks, embedded media, and light graphic creation (e.g., using Canva).
• Implement on-page SEO enhancements focused on boosting local rankings and improving user experience.
• Maintain and update multiple microsites across different cities and procedures with consistency and precision.

Requirements

• Proficiency with WordPress (dashboard, plugins, theme customization) and Kadence theme or Elementor
• Understanding of local SEO : schema markup, city-specific pages, citations, etc.
• Experience with WP Rocket, Yoast SEO, and Google Search Console.
• Great eye for layout, spacing, and clean, user-friendly design.
• Familiarity with technical SEO: title/meta tags, headers, internal linking, keyword targeting, and optimized site structures.
• Ability to build and manage efficient, lightweight child themes using SEO best practices.
• Basic Canva skills or ability to clearly communicate design needs to a designer.
• Self-directed, organized, and able to manage multiple projects without micromanagement.

Bonus Points For

• Experience in the plastic surgery or healthcare space.
• Comfort with PHP and theme-level customization.
• Familiarity with broader local SEO strategies (e.g., citation building, review optimization).
• Proactive use of AI to streamline workflows, fill knowledge gaps, or improve output without sacrificing quality.
