Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

RFT is the technology partner to the Risk divisions of Credit Risk, Market Risk and Non-Financial Risk. This includes definition of the IT strategy and provision of solutions to allow Risk to manage all aspects of risk from the analysis of counterparty credit risk to the protection of the Bank's infrastructure and information.

You will work as part of a cross-functional agile delivery team. You will bring an innovative approach to software development, focusing on using the latest technologies and practices, as part of a relentless focus on business value. You will be someone who sees engineering as team activity, with a predisposition to open code, open discussion and creating a supportive, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize complex BigQuery queries to support data analytics and reporting.
  • Manage database configurations and ensure optimal performance and capacity monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand end-to-end development processes.
  • Implement and maintain data pipelines and ensure data integrity across systems.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely solutions to maintain system reliability.

Skills:

  • Expert coding skills with at least 8 years of database experience and 1.5 years hands-on BigQuery development.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, configuration, and capacity planning.
  • Ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance proactively.
  • Proficient in SQL and data pipeline development within cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
