  • Ensure all Housing Growth projects meet legal, financial, and regulatory standards, including risk assessment, insurance, and entity creation.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on commercial structures, negotiations, and project delivery to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project risk registers, support compliance reporting, and contribute to contract lifecycle management and assurance activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government, funders, developers, and industry experts to achieve shared outcomes and raise Mission Australia’s profile.
  • Prepare and contribute to board papers and governance committee discussions to ensure key project decisions are timely, informed, and within risk tolerance.
  • Identify and implement improvements in contracting processes, governance tools, and commercial practices to enhance project delivery and long-term impact.

Requirements for success

  • Proven ability to drive commercial outcomes, manage complex contracts, and balance financial performance with mission-aligned impact.
  • Extensive experience negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts within large-scale development or infrastructure projects, ideally in housing or social impact sectors.
  • Deep understanding of how infrastructure and property development projects are financed.
