Overview

SOFTSWISS is hiring a Senior DevOps/System Engineer to join our DataOps team.

You’ll work on data infrastructure and CI/CD systems, driving stability, automation, and scalability for our data platforms and services.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to align infrastructure with product and data platform needs.
Build and manage production and staging environments using Kubernetes, Pulumi, and Saltstack.
Improve and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, automated delivery.
Monitor infrastructure and respond to alerts (including participating in day/night duty rotation).
Continuously refine setup and maintenance processes for better reliability and automation.
Contribute to the architectural design of complex, scalable data systems.

Technology Stack
Saltstack, Pulumi, Kubernetes, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Kafka, GitLab, Vault, Prometheus + Grafana, Zabbix, ELK.

Required Experience

3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or System Engineering role.
Deep understanding of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Saltstack, Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi).
Solid knowledge of Kubernetes in a production environment.
Strong monitoring experience using Prometheus stack or Zabbix.
Proven experience configuring GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Expertise in administering ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.
Strong communication skills and fluency in English and Russian.

Nice to Have

Experience with Spark, Trino, DataHub, or Tableau.
Familiarity with Vault, Elasticsearch, or domain management.
Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve DevOps efficiency or data workflows.
