Job description

About Us

Compensation is more than a paycheck, and traditional approaches don't adequately reflect it or the way people work today.

We're on a mission to change that. We see compensation as everything a company gives its people in return for the work they do. It should be easier to understand, offer, manage and spend.

Long-term, we're working towards becoming the place where compensation happens and is managed by those who award and receive it. We're on our way to coining the term "Compensation-as-a-service".

We’re proud to be backed by leading European VC funds, having raised over €20 million.

About You

We’re growing fast in Italy, and to accelerate this growth, we’re looking for a Junior Account Executive to own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, focusing on meal vouchers for companies with up to 50 employees.

Must haves:

  • You've previously worked as a top performer SDR/BDR in sales, ideally with 1–2 years of previous experience.
  • You are comfortable with cold outreach, enjoy the thrill of the first “yes”, and don’t get discouraged by a “no”.
  • You are hands-on, proactive and driven by results.
  • You love working in a startup environment: fast, messy, learning every day.
  • You care about what you sell and the problem it solves.
  • You are able to conduct exploratory lead research and transform that lead into a concrete opportunity.
  • You’re always finding a new way to open a window if the main door has been closed.
  • You are a go-getter and self-driven when it comes to improving things.
  • You are not afraid of the competition.
  • Fluent Italian (C2 or equivalent) and fluent English (internally, we communicate exclusively in English).

Nice to haves:

  • Worked in HR tech, welfare, fintech or similar industries.
  • Previous experience in the benefits market is a plus.
  • Experience with HubSpot.
  • Experience selling to small businesses.
  • Curious about employee benefits and wanting to shape the future of work.

The Role

This role is a step between a classic BDR and a full Account Executive: you’ll generate your own opportunities, occasionally manage inbound leads, and handle deals end-to-end — until the company makes its first meal voucher payment.
You’ll be part of a small, high-energy, early-stage team in Italy. You’ll talk to founders, HR managers, and office managers.
Your target will be mainly based on the volume of revenue generated.

Main responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle: from first contact to deal closing.
  • Identify and reach out to new potential customers.
  • Run discovery calls and product demos (no script-reading here).
  • Close deals with a consultative but pragmatic approach.
  • Keep our CRM and pipeline clean and accurate.
  • Share feedback to improve our product, pricing, and positioning.

What we offer
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE) between €35,000 and €45,000, with a 70/30 fixed-to-variable ratio.
  • Uncapped commission structure – no limit to what you can earn.
  • Additional benefits include welfare, meal allowance, stock options and other perks.
  • Full flexibility: remote-first, work from anywhere within Italy.

The stages for this hiring process are:
  1. CV Screening;
  2. Pre-interview quiz;
  3. Technical interview with Hiring Manager;
  4. Interview with People;
  5. Quick chat with Country Manager;
  6. Final chat round with CEO.

Equal opportunity employer:

Coverflex is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered and analysed regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability status.
