Job Summary

Exegy is seeking a highly motivated Product Support Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of its production systems. This role involves monitoring critical systems, resolving incidents, and implementing preventative measures to maintain operational excellence. You will collaborate with internal teams to address technical challenges and optimize production environments. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset to minimize downtime and enhance system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production systems and infrastructure, ensuring uptime and performance metrics are met

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve production issues in real time, minimizing service impact

  • Incident resolution and outage call handling; notify internal and external stakeholders and be responsible for resolution, communication, and follow-up

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement monitoring tools, alert systems, and automated recovery processes

  • Analyze system logs, metrics, and trends to proactively identify potential risks or issues

  • Execute software deployments, configuration changes, and system upgrades with minimal disruption

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying areas for process optimization and operational efficiency

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for production systems

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in production support, system administration, or monitoring role

  • Strong technical skills in Linux/Unix environments, with experience in troubleshooting and debugging

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g. ITRS, Nagios, Zenoss, Prometheus, Grafana) and incident management platforms

  • Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate monitoring and reporting tasks

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams effectively

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

  • Proven ability to thrive in fast paced day-to-day activity

  • Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity, and meeting deadlines

  • Preferred: Experience in Financial Markets domain knowledge or financial protocols expertise
