The Adventure Ahead:

The Head of Compliance advises company management to ensure compliance with all regulations and laws. Monitors non-compliance legal issues and informs management of those considerations.

  • Coordinate and implement Tokio Marine HCC Compliance guidelines with management team
  • Oversee internal team of compliance professionals responsible for various tasks which includes logging, tracking, and response to customer and insurance department complaints and inquiries and review of advertising content for compliance with both laws and Tokio Marine HCC policy
  • Provide consultation in areas such as trust review for indemnity purposes, letter of credit issues, legal research, product ownership and underwriting teams on any compliance issues related to the rate and forms filing process
  • Draft internal legal review memos, consult on contracts, and interface with outside counsel and consultants to understand and advise on rules for overseas and international business
  • Handle all regulatory inquiries and exams; act as company point of contact
  • Monitor federal and state statutes and advise management of company’s level of compliance and corrective actions necessary

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Law, a related field, or the equivalent education and /or experience
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant and progressive professional compliance experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation abilities to engage decision-makers at all organizational levels
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment
  • Ability to conduct thorough, accurate and efficient research on company and industry related matters and present recommendations in a clear concise actionable fashion

The reasonable pay range for this position is subject to geographic adjustments, where applicable. The pay range is the range THMCC, in good faith, believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
